The KAIO VF series respirators work by creating a slight overpressure created by a flow of filtered air. The air, drawn in and purified through filters by a control unit, is sent through a tube into the helmet. The control unit and filters are worn on the belt.
The helmet-mounted powered respirator is a ventilated device that provides combined protection for the head (EN397), face and eyes (EN ISO 16321-1), and respiratory tract – from particles – (EN12941). The adjustable internal harness secures the helmet to the forehead, providing greater visibility for the operator. The polyamide collar allows the helmet to be comfortably and efficiently closed around the operator’s neck. The powered respirator is designed to be used in both compact mode and with the control unit and battery on the belt. This is possible by changing the rear insert.

Power supply: The respirator is powered by a lithium battery.
LITHIUM BATTERY: The waist-mounted lithium battery is the latest generation, lightweight and easy to store.
PROTECTION: Respirators with helmets are the only power assisted devices which can protect the head, face, eyes, ears and respiratory system against particles. Inspired filtered air is sent by a blower unit through a breathing tube to the inside of the helmet creating a slight overpressure. The continuous flow of air prevents visor misting and reduces breathing strain.
COMFORT: The respirator is easy to don and use also by inexperienced workers. Lightweight and of simple design, it is comfortable to wear even in harsh working conditions.
LIFE: The use of carefully selected first choice raw materials guarantee a product average life expectancy of over ten years.
AIRFLOW INDICATORS: The sphere type airflow indicator monitors the flow rate to ensure the airflow in the system is maintained so workers are protected at all times.
HELMET: The internal harness, adjustable from 52 to 63 cm, secures the helmet to the forehead, providing greater visibility for the wearer.
The white color is ideal for blocking ultraviolet rays.
The helmet complies with the requirements of the EN 397 standard: it protects the head from falling objects and the resulting cranial brain injuries.
COLLAR: The polyamide collar closes efficiently and comfortably around the worker’s neck.
VISOR: It is fixed and compliant with the requirements of the EN ISO 16321-1:2022 standard: it resists particles with a speed of 120 m/s at extreme temperatures [-5°C; 55°C]. It allows for over 90% visibility. Protective films, to be attached to the appropriate pins, can be supplied as an accessory for further protection of the visor. The visor features a minimum flow indicator.
